Green limitation 2 / installation/3D printing /2025

Dark-green iron fences crowned with golden ornaments stretch across Downtown Cairo, dictating where one may walk, gather, or sit. Installed more than twenty-five years ago under the guise of protection, they have come to signify social containment and exclusion.

Green Limitation reconstructs a miniature version of this fence, transforming an everyday urban barrier into a sculptural reflection on restriction and control. The project was first presented in Roznama 4 (2015) as a life-size replica.
